There is a feature in Windows 7 where you can rotate your desktop or computer screen from the standard landscape to portraits mode. It is useful for applications such as documents and others that requires a tall and lengthy reading.

This feature can be found under Display Settings. From there a display can be rotated from landscape to portrait or horizontal to vertical mode. Of course, a monitor, preferably LCD should also be rotated 90 degrees to fully use this feature.
