Take Screen Shot of Selected Portion in Mac OS X Snow Leopard
About: For other operating system, taking screenshot with only a portion of the screen may require additional program. With Mac OS X Leopard all you need is to press three keys.
In Windows and other Operating System’s ”Print Screen” command, it will capture the whole screen. What if you just wanted to take screen shot only the portion of the screen, is it possible without third party program?
In Mac OS X Snow Leopard, these functions can be done by just a combination of keys.
Hold down Command and Shift at the same time then press 4. You will notice that the cursor will turn into crosshair. This is an indication that it is ready to select a portion of your screen for a snap shot.
