For a webmaster that has a limited hard disk space on their web server or host, a failure may occur and give website a downtime for simple script error. One of the common script errors may result to core. dump file that is creating huge dump or temp files during script errors. Those file can fill your hard disk and cause a bug down.

Resolving and identifying where the errors are originating is not a simple task but base on our experienced here are some steps you should consider.
1. Study your log files.
2. Disable some plugins running that you think were utilized in relation to your index file or homepage. In my case, I resolved this issue by reinstalling the plugin “Excerpt Editor” which I used to reduce the post characters on my homepage.
3. Contact your Web Hosting Provider’s technical support. They have access to a much detailed log files.
It is important to solve this issue rather than deleting those core.0000 files every now and then.
